Laser Dentistry can be used for a number of procedures both in hard and soft tissue.

Procedures include

  • Tooth preparation for fillings
  • Tooth sensitivity treatment
  • Reshaping and lifting gum tissue to lengthen the appearance of the teeth
  • Frenectomies (removal of tissue attachments)
  • Soft tissue surgery – removal of overgrown soft tissue especially under ill fitting dentures

  • Procedures performed using soft tissue dental lasers may not require sutures (stitches)
  • Certain laser dentistry procedures do not require anesthesia
  • Laser dentistry minimises bleeding
  • Bacterial infections are minimised because the high energy beam sterilises the area being operated on
  • Damage to surrounding tissues is minimised
  • Wounds heal faster
